Helping IB Students Get Better Grades and Get Into the Right University
Kairo Diploma was created for one simple reason: the IB Diploma Programme is one of the most demanding pre-university qualifications in the world, and most students go through it without a clear, reliable guide connecting the two things that actually matter — doing well in the Diploma itself, and turning that result into a place at the right university.
Why We Started This Site
Existing IB resources tend to fall into one of two categories: official IB documentation, written for teachers and coordinators rather than students, or scattered forum posts and tutoring-company blogs that are more interested in selling a service than genuinely helping. We wanted to build something different — a single, well-organized resource covering the entire journey, from your first IA to your final university offer.
What You’ll Find Here
Our content is organized around two core areas:
IB Diploma Success — practical, subject-specific guidance on Internal Assessments, the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, CAS, grade boundaries, and exam preparation, written to help you understand exactly what examiners are looking for.
University Admissions for IB Students — clear, research-based guidance on IB score requirements by country and university, scholarship opportunities, and how to build a strong application as an IB student specifically.
Our Approach
We aim for every article on this site to be genuinely useful — specific, accurate, and actionable, rather than generic advice you could find anywhere. Where our content involves specific facts (university requirements, grade boundaries, scoring criteria), we base it on the most current publicly available information and clearly note that requirements can change, encouraging you to verify time-sensitive details directly with the relevant institution or the IB itself.
Who We Are
Kairo Diploma is an independent educational resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) or any specific university mentioned on this site. “IB,” “International Baccalaureate,” and “Diploma Programme” are trademarks of the International Baccalaureate Organization, used here for descriptive and informational purposes only.
How We Sustain This Site
Kairo Diploma is free to use and supported through display advertising and, in some cases, affiliate partnerships with relevant educational services (see our full [Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure] for details). This never affects the accuracy or independence of our editorial content — we only recommend services we genuinely believe are useful to IB students.
